Apothecare Dispensary is located in Northwest Ann Arbor and has easy access from US23. If you’re coming in from the Northwest Detroit Suburbs, this dispensary will be your first stop heading into town. It’s a fabulous dispensary that grows its own certified organic weed. IMHO, this is one of the top weed dispensaries in the city.
They also have a terrific, reasonably-priced CBD. The ATM is in the front of the store, with a $3 fee. The staff is incredibly friendly. Once in the back room, you’ll get on-on-one knowledgeable service. You can see and smell the weed before you purchase anything. Apothecare has a well-rounded inventory.
What’s Near this Dispensary
You are in luck! Songbird Café, a local café is right in the shopping center that faces Apothecare. Songbird has a great selection of teas, coffees, awesome food (breakfast and lunch), and pastries. They use Mighty Good coffee, a locally roasted coffee brand. A much better choice that the national chain coffee shop next door.
If you like Indian food, Cardamom Restaurant is one mile towards downtown Ann Arbor, and on the same side of the road. You’ll love Cardamom for its absolutely fresh-tasting food. They have a nice bar you can eat at if that’s your preference. Cardamom has a nice atmosphere. You cannot miss dining here. But be forewarned, the wait can frequently be well over an hour during popular times.
Apothecare is very close to The Wave, a 90’ x 90’ outside earth sculpture, by artist Maya Lin, on UM North Campus. Lin is the same artist who designed the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in D.C. and the Civil Rights Memorial in Montgomery, AL.
You’ll need a car to get there from Apothecare, but on this side of town, Gallup Park is the perfect place to stretch your legs. Or, you rent a kayak, canoe, or paddle boat for an afternoon of fun on the Huron River. Gallup has excellent trails, for casual bicycling or walking.
There’s something for everyone. There are a couple of great playgrounds for the kids too. In 2017, a universal access playground was generously funded by one of Ann Arbor’s Rotary Clubs (and taxpayers of course).
To get to Gallup Park, head back east a block and travel south down Huron Parkway for about 2 miles and turn right on Fuller. The park entrance is directly on your left.
Ita Yoga is consistently rated as one of Ann Arbor’s best Yoga Studios and is right across the parking lot from Apothecare. If you like yoga, try out Ita. In my opinion, one of life’s greatest pleasures is a yoga session after some great weed.
