Green Planet Patient Collective
Independent & Local Dispensary
700 Tappan
Ann Arbor, MI 48104
Bus Routes
This is the closest dispensary to the Hash Bash, that’s not corporate weed.
Green Planet Patient Collective is one of two cannabis dispensaries across the street from the University. Green Planet is on the southern edge of campus, right across the street from Ross School of Business, near the law school, as well as the school of public policy.
Despite its name, Green Planet Patient Collective sells both medical and recreational cannabis. They have curbside or indoor pickup, but no delivery service.
Green Planet is not directly on any bus route, but there are several that will take you within a couple of blocks.
What’s Near this Dispensary
If you’re a walker, you’re in luck. Green Planet is a bit isolated. You can walk a few blocks to S. University and check out the stores there. Otherwise, walk up State and find a better selection of restaurants and shopping.
Redhawk Bar & Grill
The Redhawk is the closest restaurant on our recommendation list and is just around the corner on State Street. The Redhawk has great pub food (salads, burgers, and sandwiches) and never disappoints. Most of my vegetarian diet friends really like the black bean burger.
Savas
Savas is a bit more upscale but still casual. Savas is further up State St from Redhawk, the same side of the street, past Liberty. It’s a limited menu, but there’s something for everyone. You cannot go wrong with the bang bang shrimp as a starter. Savas is the first restaurant of Sava Farah, one of Ann Arbor’s leading restaurateurs.
Knights Steakhouse
Knights Steakhouse is not too far of a walk and is one of Ann Arbor’s longtime restaurants and a local institution. Knight’s Twitter handle is @StrongDrinks – to let you know what you’re in for when you dine here. Always a good experience!
Bon Bon Bon
Bon Bon Bon is located inside Nickels Arcade and is a perfect place to pick up some awesome chocolate and other handmade candies – made in Hamtramck, MI. Perfect for your munchies or a gift.
There’s a ton to do in this neighborhood. Take advantage of a walk in the diag. Then walk around campus and check out the beautiful architecture.
UM Museum of Art
UMMA, UM Museum of Art is just down the street, on State. If you like art, there are always great exhibits at the UM Museum of Art. Catch a little buzz and let your imagination run wild at UMMA.
Axe Throwing
Axe throwing at Axe Ventura is just around the corner on Maynard. Axe throwing is tons of fun. They have two locations, one right here and the other in Findlay Oh.
Theaters
This is one of the closest dispensaries to some of Ann Arbor’s great venues. You’ll find Arbors Wellness is just a short walk from:
- The Michigan Theater & The State Theater. Catch a movie after you pick up your weed!
- Hill Auditorium (live presentations). Reserve some tickets ahead. Hill always has something great to offer.
- Rackham Auditorium Primarily for conferences, lectures, and chamber concerts
- The Power Center for the Performing Arts (this is a bit further of a schlepp, but still the closest dispensary)
Kelsey Museum of Archeology
The Kelsey Museum of Archeology is always fascinating. It’s recently been remodeled. If you like ancient artifacts, this is definitely the place to visit. Kelsey is fascinating!
Comet Coffee
Comet Coffee, in Nickels Arcade, is another one of Ann Arbor’s fabulous independent coffee shops. This is where you want to go for that espresso, pour-over, or another specialty coffee. They have pastries as well.
