ASCEND Cannabis
Ascend is a large multi-state operation (corporate weed) located off W. Stadium Blvd on the west side of town. At Ascend you can find just about anything you want. My budtender was brand new but still seemed pretty knowledgeable.
You’ll probably need a car to get around, but there are two bus routes that drive right by, on S. Maple Rd. Both of these bus routes will get you to and from ASCEND Cannabis and downtown Ann Arbor.
What’s Near this Dispensary
Zingerman’s Roadhouse
Zingerman’s Roadhouse almost needs no introduction. The Roadhouse is like none other. If you haven’t experienced Zingerman’s Roadhouse yet. Check it out. Always a great experience, and great service. And yes, it is expensive. But the quality and service make it worth it. It’s a casual, yet upscale experience.
Wolverine State Brewing
Wolverine State Brewing is in Ascend’s backyard and is another one of Ann Arbor’s microbreweries, specializing in lagers. I just love their premium lager! It’s just a solid great beer. Wolverine is known for its Smoked BBQ and great nachos. All meats are smoked in-house daily.
Cosa Sabrosa
Cosa Sabrosa is located on the other side of the street from Ascend, INSIDE the Zal Grotto Club building. They do not have eat-in facilities, but there are plenty of tables outside if the weather is nicer. They use 100% locally sourced ingredients. Fresh and flavorful Mexican foods!
Bloom Wellness Spa & Yoga
Make an afternoon of it at Bloom Wellness Spa & Yoga. Sure, you can get in a yoga class, but better yet, rent out a sensory deprivation tank and really get your mind off of it all. Get your mellow buzz on and then float effortlessly as you meditate deeply. Floating (buzzed or not) should top every Ann Arbor visitor’s To-Do list.
Ann Arbor Ice Cube
If you’re into ice skating, a visit to Ann Arbor Ice Cube is in order. Their website is impossible to figure out and they say hours are subject to change without notice. If you are up to skating, give a call before you go (734) 213-1600.
Dolph Nature Area
Up for a hike/walk to stretch your legs? Check out the 75-acre Dolph Nature Area. Take Liberty west (away from town) and head north on S. Wagner Rd. You’ll see the parking lot on the east side of the road. A lot of Ann Arbor’s birders come here!
Cameramall
Cameramall is Ann Arbor’s (and perhaps all of Michigan’s) best camera store – for new & used cameras. Yes, you can sell your old camera here. They also rent cameras. For all photography buffs, this is the store to visit.
A & L Wine Castle
If you’re looking for one of Ann Arbor’s best wine, beer, liquor, and cigar selections, visit A & L Wine Castle right around the corner, on W. Stadium. A & L is family-owned and a jewel in Ann Arbor. If you’re looking for something special, they are sure to have it here.
Nicolas Books Shuler Books
Nicolas Books was bought out by Shuler Books. A visit to this bookstore will be forthcoming. Note: Their website says they purchase used, hardcopy (with the dust cover) books.
A2+Bloom
If you’re into growing your own cannabis, check out A2+Bloom (located in my old favorite yoga spot). They have a full selection of whatever you need to grow your weed and will price match from anywhere in Michigan.
